Dr. Aaron D. Lewis: Prayers are powerful healers

Dr. Aaron D. Lewis believes that suffering is not produced by destiny but by people’s choices. People who have gotten stuck on the downside of the wheel may have grown apathetic of their case, attributing their tough luck to fate. But Dr. Lewis explains that there is a powerful instrument that can help turn things around for these individuals—prayers.

The mind is a powerful tool that can do wonders. It controls how the body reacts towards certain stimuli that are present in a person’s immediate environment. But there is more to the mind than just being a device for reacting. According to Dr. Aaron D. Lewis, the mind—through praying—can condition the body to heal itself from the traumas of worldly torment.

Prayers can do great things for people going through difficulties. By praying, people can understand the concept of hope in their acknowledgement of and acceptance that “Someone” out there can help them in their lowest moments. All they have to do is trigger their faith by communicating to the Divine Power that they believe can help them surpass their situations. Dr. Lewis believes in the “mind over matter” concept: that if people consider the fact that they will be eased of their pains, then they will be eased of them eventually.
